XRP Whales Absorb Selling Pressure as Retail Investors Flee
XRP's recent downturn is exposing an interesting phenomenon beneath the surface: while retail investors are selling, large holders are buying up XRP.
According to on-chain analytics firm Santiment, wallets holding at least 1 million XRP have increased by 32 over the past three months, even as XRP's market capitalization has fallen roughly 29%.
This divergence is not going unnoticed. Instead of abandoning XRP during its weakness, some of its largest holders appear to be using the decline to build their positions.
XRP has struggled to reclaim the psychologically important $1 level, moving between roughly $1.008 and $1.05 after weeks of sluggish price action.
