XRP Whales Keep Buying as Price Falls
XRP whales have continued to buy XRP despite the price falling to $0.99 on August 11, its lowest point in almost two years.
The largest holders added over 380 million XRP in a week, worth around $390 million at today's price, and have been doing so for months.
This is unusual behavior, as most people would sell their tokens when the price drops. But these whales are betting that the price will eventually catch up to the usage of the XRP Ledger.
The ledger has seen an 84% jump in active addresses over the past two weeks, indicating increased activity on the network despite the falling price.
