XRP Whales Refuse to Sell Amid 43% Price Crash
XRP whales, holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP, have been accumulating tokens despite a 43% price crash in 2026. According to Santiment data, this group has added 1.23 billion XRP to their combined balance since the start of the year.
Their current holdings stand at 12.2 billion XRP, up from 10.97 billion at the beginning of the year. This represents an increase in value of about $1.2792 billion at the current price of $1.04 per token, or approximately $4.5 billion if the price were to return to its all-time high of $3.66.
The accumulation trend has been uneven, with a significant buying spree in November 2025 and a more modest pace since then. The group's combined balance rose above 11 billion XRP in December 2025 but slipped back to 10.97 billion by the start of 2026.
