XRPL 3.3.0 Expands Protocol Features with Transaction Batching and Confidential Transfers

The latest XRP Ledger software cycle is significant for validators, exchanges, and developers as it separates security repairs from broader protocol changes. As of August 1, 2026, xrpld 3.2.1 remained the latest version while 3.3.0 showed 122 items without a release date.

Xrpld 3.3.0 expands on the protocol features and includes transaction batching with BatchV1_1, which restores grouped transactions with corrected inner-signature validation. Confidential transfers and sponsored fees are still under development but not active in version 3.2.1.

The second major difference is the activation process, as software support does not automatically activate XRP Ledger amendments on Mainnet. An amendment must maintain support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two weeks before it can be activated.
