XRPL Network Fends Off Spam Attack with Reduced Latency
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) network has demonstrated its resilience in the face of a spam attack, according to David Schwartz. The network maintained stability despite approximately 400 simultaneous connections on August 25 and September 8, with latency decreasing to just 165 milliseconds on the $XRP ($1.41) network.
The XRPLD software was updated to version 3.2.1 following a manifest attack in July, which saw protection mechanisms revamped. The update did not affect a single spike agreement reached on September 6, with malicious traffic nearly eliminated.
