XRP's $100 Target Slips Further Out of Reach Amid Institutional Hurdles
XRP's price target of $100 is ambitious, but a closer look at the math behind it reveals a significant gap between current prices and the required scale to justify triple-digit pricing. According to analyst Zach Rector, the total value of tokenized assets settled on the XRP Ledger has grown 30x year-over-year to $3.72 billion, still far from the hundreds of billions needed for a $100 price tag.
Rector notes that Q2 data showed fewer active accounts but three times higher trading volume per account, which explains why XRP hasn't moved yet. The path forward requires climbing from billions into the hundreds of billions before those levels become mathematically realistic.
Adam Popat, CEO of Settlement, added weight to the institutional narrative this week with a new integration between Ripple's custody platform and Settlement's asset lifecycle system, built specifically for compliant institutional entry into XRPL tokenization.
