XRP's $1.70 Spike: A Liquidity Mirage or Sustained Demand?
XRP saw a brief but intense spike to $1.70 before rapidly reversing, according to Wealth-focused commentator Kamilah Stevenson.
The token had climbed from around $1 to $1.50 before the sudden jump and then pulled back sharply.
Stevenson argued that this was not necessarily a sign of sustained demand but rather a product of thin order books, shifting macro sentiment, and a broad liquidation squeeze.
The commentator noted that exchanges operate separate order books, meaning prices can move differently across various venues. When sell offers are sparse, a large market buy can consume available liquidity quickly and push the quoted price far higher than where most trading occurs.
