XRP's Active User Base Stagnates Despite Rising Network Activity
XRP's recent price drop has been significant, but despite its lowest daily close since November 2024, the XRP network remains active. In an August 13 post on Santiment, data shows that XRP closed around $1 on August 12, a level roughly 69% below its January 2025 peak near $3.30.
Network activity is moving in the opposite direction, however. Active addresses have averaged around 35,700 per day in August, compared to around 26,400 in July. But new-user growth remains stagnant, averaging roughly 2,260 per day this month versus 2,270 in July.
This suggests that the increase in activity is being driven by existing XRP users rather than an influx of new participants. In other words, network usage is rising, but the user base isn't expanding alongside it.
Evernorth has announced changes to its transaction with Armada II as it works towards a planned Nasdaq listing. The company aims to keep its capitalization aligned with the market value of its underlying XRP treasury while allowing each common share to represent a larger percentage of the treasury at current prices.
