XRP's August Rally Faces Historic Headwinds Ahead of Crucial September

XRP's rally in August was its best month since 2021 and only the third time in nine years it finished positive. The cryptocurrency gained as high as 70% from near $1 to almost $1.70 in a span of four days beginning August 19.

The majority of XRP's gains came in the final two weeks of August, with US spot XRP ETFs taking in $153.55 million during the full month. However, just $3.27 million of that came between August 3 and 14, while the remaining $150.28 million arrived in the back half of the month alone.

A historical seasonal pattern suggests that XRP's strength may not carry into September. In seven of the last eight years, XRP's September has moved in the opposite direction from its August performance.
