XRP's Bullish Signal Raises Red Flags Amid Historical Pattern Concerns
XRP's weekly Super Trend indicator turned bullish in August, but this exact signal has preceded sharp corrections in every previous cycle going back to 2019.
According to analyst ChartNerd, XRP's recent price action is a period of chop while traders wait for a clearer direction. The token has been trading between the 50-week EMA and the 20-week EMA, currently around $1.52 and $1.30, respectively.
The analyst notes that three earlier cycles saw corrections after XRP hit its local top, with losses of 45%, 56%, and 32% respectively. ChartNerd argues that this pattern has appeared often enough to warrant caution, but stresses that historical behavior does not guarantee the same outcome this time.
XRP's price has stayed choppy this week, dipping towards $1.39 before rebounding to around $1.38 at the time of writing. The token is up 1.5% over the past week but down more than 53% from a year ago and remains about 62% below its all-time high of $3.65.
