XRP's Bullish Streak Faces Another Test as History Favors Bearish Augusts
Ripple's cross-border token XRP has extended its impressive streak in July, with eight out of 13 Julys since 2014 ending in the green. This includes a notable 48% gain in July 2020 and smaller increases in 2023 (47.6%), 2024 (31.2%), and 2025 (35%). However, despite this strong performance, XRP has historically been bearish in August, with four consecutive red months for the asset.
The past four Augusts have seen XRP fall by 13.6% in 2022, 26.6% in 2023, 9.17% in 2024, and 8.15% in 2025. This raises concerns that another leg down may be looming for the asset.
Despite these challenges, XRP's July performance is a positive sign for the token's prospects. The median data shows a 6.57% decline throughout previous Augusts, which is in stark contrast to the 6.91% gain for July.
