XRP's Explosive Rally Triggers Consolidation and Profit-Taking Concerns
XRP has experienced an extraordinary short-term rally in the current market cycle, climbing over 50% in approximately 65 hours and adding $30 billion to its market cap. This significant increase has sparked interest among investors, with crypto commentator Austin Hilton weighing in on the move.
Hilton analyzed the performance of top assets over a seven-day period, noting that XRP outran Bitcoin's 22% gain and Ethereum's 30% rise. He observed that more capital flowed into XRP than into its peers, making it one of the top performers across the entire market by percentage gain.
The speed of the move has been remarkable, with XRP's market cap jumping from $63 billion to $93 billion during the rally. Hilton sees this as a clear sign of how quickly capital is entering the asset, but notes that consolidation has begun and the price needs to hold at around $1.50.
Hilton advises recent buyers who have secured 45% gains to consider selling 25-30% of their position to recover their base cost, leaving the remaining 70-80% as pure profit. He also suggests protecting this remainder with a stop-loss at $1.44.
