XRP's July Streak Faces Uncertainty as History Suggests Another Bearish August
Ripple's cross-border token, XRP, has been making gains in July for eight consecutive years. This streak dates back to 2014 and only two other months have seen similar increases: April. July 2026's minor 3% increase is the lowest gain of all previous green Julys.
The reason for this modest gain is the ongoing bear market, global uncertainty, inflation fears, and raging wars. Nevertheless, XRP managed to rebound slightly from the June dump, when it plummeted by over 22%. The asset skyrocketed in July 2020 with a 48% increase, followed by gains of 47.6%, 31.2%, and 35% in 2023, 2024, and 2025 respectively.
Historically, XRP has not fared well in August. The past four editions of the eighth month of the year have been in the red for the asset. In 2022, it fell by 13.6%, followed by a more significant decline of 26.6% in 2023.
