XRP's Next Rally Hinges on ETF Expectations and Ripple's Blockchain Ambitions
XRP's price reached an all-time high of $3.65 in 2025 but plummeted by about 73% to a low point in 2026.
Despite its recent weakness, analysts believe that XRP could still benefit from the next market recovery due to two main factors: expectations surrounding ETFs and Ripple's infrastructure adoption.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had been suing Ripple since 2020 over allegations of selling unregistered securities, which put pressure on the token. However, a court ruling in favor of Ripple improved sentiment, especially among retail investors.
As the dispute between Ripple and the SEC moved closer to settlement in 2025, several XRP spot ETFs were launched. Although they did not immediately drive up the price due to the market's downward trend at the time, analysts believe that these products could attract more investor attention if the market re-enters an upward cycle.
Ripple's focus on asset tokenization is also seen as a potential driver of XRP's growth. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has stated that real-world asset tokenization may become a key direction for the financial industry in the coming years, aligning with Ripple's goals for its blockchain infrastructure.
