XRP's Price Hangs by a Thread as CLARITY Act Vote Looms

XRP's price has fallen below $1 twice in the last five days, reaching a 52-week low of $0.9915 on August 11 and dipping under the level again on August 14.

The last time XRP lost the $1 support was in 2021, and it took almost three years to reclaim it.

Ripple's cross-border payment expansion has expanded through deals with Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan and Mastercard, but these deals didn't move the XRP price because they run on Ripple's payment rails rather than requiring anyone to buy XRP.

The CLARITY Act is a bipartisan bill that could lift the XRP price back above $1 if passed, Galaxy Research estimates it could rally toward $1.50 in September and potentially reach $2 after a full Senate vote.
