XRP's Price Stagnation Continues Amidst Technological Advancements
XRP's price has been lagging behind its technological progress, creating a disconnect between what the token is building and its market value. The recent release of version 3.3.0 of the XRP Ledger, which includes features such as Confidential Transfers for increased privacy and settlement efficiency, has gone largely unnoticed by the market.
The numbers paint a bleak picture: XRP trades at $1.04, down approximately 44 percent since the start of the year and more than 68 percent below its August peak of $3.38. The token's 52-week low of $1.01 looms uncomfortably close.
Institutional money flows have been anemic, with only $27.29 million flowing into spot XRP ETFs in July, compared to the $666 million that poured in during their first month on the market. The seven listed spot XRP ETFs now hold roughly $1 billion in assets under management and about 993 million XRP tokens.
Chart signals point to persistent weakness, with XRP trading below its 50-day moving average of $1.09 and well under the 200-day average of $1.33. The relative strength index sits at 38.5, indicating sustained selling pressure without yet reaching oversold territory.
