XRP's Price Surge Fails to Attract Institutional Investors
XRP has made a significant recovery in recent sessions, trading near $1.48, $1.52, but this price movement is not mirrored in institutional investment. The seven US-listed spot XRP ETFs saw weekly net inflows collapse by 93 percent to just $1.01 million.
According to on-chain observers, addresses holding between one and ten million XRP accumulated roughly 380 million tokens in the week around August 18. Large-value transfers spiked 280 percent higher during this time.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently shared a stage with SEC chairman Paul Atkins at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, a pairing that would have been unthinkable during the years of litigation between Ripple and the regulator.
The company has also moved 50 million XRP to an unknown wallet, which later distributed one million tokens to Binance. However, this transfer was seen as a sign of restraint rather than distribution intent.
