XRP's Regulatory Fate Hangs in Balance as Senate Weighs Clarity Act

The clock is ticking for XRP as it waits for the US Senate to pass the CLARITY Act, which could classify XRP as a digital commodity and eliminate regulatory uncertainty. Ripple is simultaneously pushing its institutional stablecoin strategy with the launch of Ripple Mint, a platform that offers clients a web interface and API to mint, redeem, and track RLUSD.

Whale accumulation suggests conviction at the top, but the price action reflects a market waiting for Washington to make the first move. XRP currently trades at $1.09, down 1.51% on the day and hovering just 7.71% above its 52-week low of $1.01 set in June.

Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, has a market capitalization of roughly $1.5 billion, but monthly transfer volume has declined about 25% to nearly $11 billion. The company is betting that infrastructure expansion will reverse the revenue trend and reignite institutional usage.
