XRP's Regulatory Headstart: CLARITY Act Delay Won't Derail Token's Momentum
The CLARITY Act's latest delay has left the crypto market in uncertainty, but one token is remarkably stable. XRP traded near $1.40 while traders held billions of dollars in derivatives positions open.
This muted response matters because XRP has already fought and won a major regulatory battle with the SEC. In August 2025, Ripple and the SEC dismissed their appeals, effectively ending a case that began in 2020.
The final judgment left Ripple with a $125 million penalty tied to institutional sales, while earlier rulings found that programmatic XRP sales on exchanges did not constitute unregistered securities offerings.
This does not make XRP exempt from future regulation, but it gives the token a more developed U.S. legal backdrop than many competing tokens.
