XRP's Short-Term Momentum Surges as Golden Cross Approaches
XRP's technical indicators are showing signs of improvement, with its shorter-term moving averages turning sharply upward after the powerful August recovery. The price has been trading between $1.35 and $1.50, and its 200-day moving average is still below the current price at around $1.40.
Experts believe that if a Golden Cross forms, it could indicate a notable improvement in medium- to long-term momentum for XRP. However, this process has been significantly accelerated by XRP's August move from about $1.00 to over $1.50.
Two bullish scenarios are being considered: consolidation before continuation and a breakout above $1.50-$1.55. In the first scenario, XRP may stay between roughly $1.35 and $1.50 as its moving averages catch up to the price. The 200-day average might become support, volatility would decrease, and the shorter averages would keep rising.
The second scenario is a breakout that happens more quickly, with momentum potentially being accelerated by a strong daily close above $1.50. However, both scenarios require XRP to maintain the region surrounding its 200-day moving average, which has been protected by buyers at around $1.32-$1.35.
The Golden Cross would confirm that the technical structure has significantly changed from the downtrend that dominated most of 2026, but it alone would not ensure additional gains for XRP.
