Yield Guild Games' LOL Land Shuts Down July 31
Yield Guild Games' (YGG) subsidiary, LOL Land, will shut down permanently on July 31. Players have just two days left to manually convert in-game points into $YGG and complete their $LOL unstaking within the app.
YGG Play, a business unit that operated alongside LOL Land, was recently closed due to declining market conditions. The decision resulted in the elimination of 35 jobs and redirected resources towards supplying gaming-derived datasets for AI training.
In an interview, Yield Guild Games co-founder Gabby Dizon stated, 'Sunsetting YGG Play is a heavy decision, but it is a market decision, not a product decision.'
