Young Investors Dominate Crypto Market in Q2
According to a report by CoinSwitch, nearly 80% of new crypto investors in Q2 were young investors aged 18-25. This age group dominated new investor additions, accounting for 54.4% of new investors.
The report also found that portfolio diversification increases with age, with older investors holding more cryptocurrencies. Investors aged 36-45 and above 46 hold more diverse portfolios, containing four or more cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin was the top crypto asset for investors in Q2, followed by Dogecoin as a close second. The most popular two-crypto pairing was Bitcoin to Dogecoin, with other pairs varying across age groups.
