Yusko Dumps 90% of Solana Holdings, Shifts Focus to Bitcoin
Mark Yusko, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Creek Capital Management, has made significant adjustments to his cryptocurrency portfolio. He revealed in a recent interview that he had sold approximately 90% of his Solana (SOL) holdings after realizing gains nearly 1,000 times his initial investment.
This sale was motivated by Yusko's perception of excessive market optimism, as evidenced by the $2.5 million lavish party planned for Amsterdam. He stated in the interview that he views such extravagance as a signal to exit.
Yusko emphasized that his decision was not driven by hostility toward Solana's network technology but rather its economic mechanisms, which fail to adequately reward token holders.
In contrast, Yusko has shifted his focus to Bitcoin, allocating about half of his personal net worth to the cryptocurrency and related assets. He believes in Bitcoin's 'digital gold' narrative and views it as a store of value with a fixed supply that offers protection against inflation.
