ZachXBT Considers Rejecting Requests from Countries with Poor Crypto Support
ZachXBT, an independent onchain investigator in crypto, may reject victim-support requests from certain countries due to poor case handling. These jurisdictions include Canada, the UK, India, Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, and Bangladesh.
The decision comes after years of ZachXBT handling cases where victims reached out because law enforcement channels moved too slowly or lacked the tools to trace funds across bridges and mixers. He described these countries as 'the worst experiences' he has had while handling cases.
ZachXBT plans to restrict access to crypto support services on his upcoming website for users from certain jurisdictions, which he considers to be of low quality. This decision highlights the issue that victims in jurisdictions with strong courts may still face law enforcement teams that do not prioritize crypto cases or understand relevant flows.
