ZachXBT to Restrict Services for Countries with Poor Case Handling
ZachXBT, an independent onchain investigator in crypto, may stop accepting victim-support requests from certain countries due to poor case handling. According to WuBlockchain, these jurisdictions include Canada, the UK, India, Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, and Bangladesh.
ZachXBT has been helping victims of wallet drains, phishing campaigns, and exchange hacks for years, but his experience with these regions has been challenging. He described them as 'the worst experiences I have had while handling cases.'
The inclusion of the UK and Canada complicates any narrative about weak institutions, as both countries have established legal systems and active crypto sectors.
ZachXBT's decision to restrict access to his services highlights a deeper structural problem in onchain investigations: when local authorities do not engage, an investigator's work can become a coordination problem.
