ZachXBT's Jurisdiction-Based Restriction Sparks Controversy in Crypto Community

Share

ZachXBT, a well-known blockchain investigator, is planning to launch a website that will restrict access to his crypto victim-support services based on users' jurisdictions.

The move comes after ZachXBT named several countries as among the lowest-ranked for crypto scam victims, including Canada, the UK, India, Nigeria, and Morocco, Algeria, and Bangladesh in the fifth spot. He stated that he would likely automatically decline cases from these countries.

The proposed website could offer services such as investigative work, scam recovery assistance, case assessments, and on-chain analysis. However, ZachXBT's decision to restrict access based on jurisdiction has sparked controversy within the crypto community.

Some speculate that users may attempt to artificially manipulate the reaction count by using bots, which appears to have happened in this case, with 1,178 thumbs-down responses recorded at press time.
