Zama's Confidential Voting Plugin Brings Balance to Onchain Governance
As more organizations move onchain and regulatory frameworks mature, they're demanding more from their onchain systems. Enter Confidential Voting, an Aragon OSx governance plugin built on Zama Protocol. This tool allows individual votes to remain encrypted while they're counted, preserving the familiar experience of casting a vote on Aragon. Zama's programmable confidentiality also enables organizations to define what information can be decrypted, by whom, and under what conditions.
The result is a new governance primitive for organizations that need confidential votes while retaining UX, composability, and flexibility around their compliance requirements. With Confidential Voting, voters interact with the proposal through the familiar Aragon interface, encrypting their vote client-side using Zama's Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The voting experience remains unchanged, but individual choices remain confidential.
