Zcash Breaks Eight-Year High as Grayscale ETF Launch Looms
The price of Zcash has reached an eight-year high above $850 as traders position around Grayscale's upcoming ETF launch on NYSE Arca.
Grayscale's conversion of its Zcash Trust into The Zcash ETF is the most significant development behind the latest repricing. The fund, registered for listing under the ZCSH ticker, gives investors exposure to Zcash through a conventional exchange-traded security without requiring direct ownership or custody of the cryptocurrency.
The ETF's listing approval has been certified by NYSE Arca ahead of its Tuesday debut. Meanwhile, Zcash was already trading at multi-year highs before the ETF event, indicating that the market had been positioning for the new access channel rather than reacting only after the listing.
A sustained close above $850 would confirm that buyers are absorbing supply at the new highs and could open a move toward $900, with $1,000 becoming the next major psychological target. However, the momentum is powerful but also showing signs of an overheated move, leaving Zcash vulnerable to profit-taking.
