Zcash Breaks Through $1,065 Barrier as ZCSH Inflows Surge
Zcash has broken through the $1,065 barrier, marking a significant gain of 27.9% in just seven days. The token's market value now stands at an estimated $18.0 billion.
The Zcash ETF (ZCSH) has played a crucial role in this price surge, with net inflows totaling $34.4 million since its debut on August 25. This influx of fresh capital has helped to drive up the token's value and reduce the trust discount that had previously plagued the fund.
The trust-era gap between market price and reported NAV has largely closed, with a mere 0.35% premium observed in Friday's trading session. However, the conversion to a NYSE Arca-listed ETF has introduced new risks, including potential exposure to regulatory scrutiny and network security threats.
Grayscale index head Steve Vanourny described ZCSH as a 'focused, higher-risk satellite position' that complements Bitcoin exposure. This assessment is supported by recent research highlighting the complexities of Zcash's privacy design and the associated risks of counterfeit coins and supply chain vulnerabilities.
