Zcash Devs Near Proof Against Counterfeit Bugs in New Pool
Zcash's ZEC token surged by over 12% on July 7 after developers announced they are close to providing mathematical proof that Ironwood, a new shielded pool, has no hidden counterfeiting bugs.
The announcement comes after a serious flaw was discovered in Orchard, the previous shielded pool, which led to ZEC's price dropping by over 40% in two days.
Developers are using formal verification, a method that checks the math of a protocol directly, to gain confidence in Ironwood. This process involves using AI tools to automatically check proofs once they are written.
