Zcash ETF Filing and $110M Buying Plan Trigger 12% Price Surge
Zcash has surged roughly 12% in recent trading, driven by two key catalysts. Grayscale's plan to convert its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF on NYSE Arca is one reason, while a DCG subsidiary is considering acquiring approximately 200,000 ZEC, worth around $110 million at current valuations.
The proposed ETF would create a conventional market-access route for investors seeking ZEC exposure without directly holding the token. This development has sparked interest in the asset, leading to a price increase and breaking above the $520-$550 region.
However, if ZEC loses this breakout region and falls back into its previous range, the market could interpret the move as a failed breakout, with $500 becoming the first major downside reference. The next few sessions will be crucial in determining the direction of the Zcash rally.
