Zcash ETF Trading Halted for German Investors

Instruments
ZEC
Share

The Zcash ETF, trading under the ticker ZCSH, is unavailable to German retail investors due to a regulatory hurdle. The fund, launched by Grayscale on NYSE Arca in August 2026, lacks a key information document (KID) in German, required by European regulation PRIIPs.

The KID is a standardized document that outlines the product's risks, costs, and mechanics. US fund providers have little incentive to create these documents for European retail markets, as it poses liability risks without any return on investment.

German investors can still hold or sell existing shares of ZCSH but cannot purchase new ones through a German brokerage account. The block affects only the purchase and adding to an existing position.
