Zcash Mining Revenue Surges Past Bitcoin and HPC
Zcash mining revenue has surged to new heights, outperforming even Bitcoin. The recent price rally of Zcash to around $890 has given its miners a significant edge over their counterparts in the Bitcoin and AI high-performance computing (HPC) sectors. According to estimates, the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro mining Zcash now generates approximately $727.30 per megawatt-hour (MWh), a staggering 3.3 times that of HPC yields and 4.5 times that of Bitmain's latest Bitcoin miner.
This impressive surge in revenue is largely attributed to the broader cryptocurrency market optimism, driven by US Treasury moves, inflation concerns, and regulatory developments. The recent price gain of Zcash stands at a notable 70% within a week, with the next key factors to watch being upcoming US economic data and Federal Reserve signals that could influence the crypto market's momentum.
