Zcash Mining Surges Past Bitcoin, Grayscale Analysis Reveals
A recent analysis by Grayscale Research found that Zcash mining has become significantly more profitable than Bitcoin mining for individuals.
The study, led by research director Zach Pandl, discovered that a typical Zcash mining rig delivers about twice the daily revenue of a comparable Bitcoin machine.
On a power-consumption basis, Zcash mining generates about 4x the revenue per megawatt-hour relative to Bitcoin. This is largely due to ZEC's strong price performance, which has risen nearly 15% over the past week and now trades near $1,177.
