Zcash Mining Surges Past Bitcoin Revenue Per Machine

Zcash mining has become increasingly profitable in 2026 due to the cryptocurrency's higher price. According to Grayscale Research, Zcash miners are now earning about twice the revenue of comparable Bitcoin machines.

Grayscale estimates that Zcash miners generate around $2 million per day across the network, while Bitcoin miners earn roughly $35 million daily. The larger mining network for Bitcoin accounts for the wider gap in total revenue.

The disparity is even greater when measured by electricity use. Zcash mining generates about four times as much revenue per megawatt-hour as Bitcoin mining, giving operators higher revenue relative to power consumption.
