Zcash Poised to Maintain Top Spot in Privacy Coin Market, AI Predicts
Zcash (ZEC) is currently leading in the privacy coin market, but its dominance may be threatened by Monero (XMR) and other competitors. A recent analysis using three AI-powered chatbots suggests that ZEC has a solid chance of keeping its top spot in the niche by the end of 2026.
The analysis notes that Zcash has better exchange accessibility, being available on major platforms like Binance and Coinbase, while XMR was removed from the biggest crypto exchange in 2024 and is not listed on Coinbase. This gives ZEC deeper liquidity and easier access for speculative and institutional capital.
The recent launch of the first Zcash ETF by Grayscale has also contributed to ZEC's growth. The product saw a rally prior to its launch, driving prices above $870, and briefly surpassed that record after reaching nearly $890 before retracing to the current price of around $847 (per CoinGecko).
The chatbots predicted different outcomes for Zcash and Monero. ChatGPT gave ZEC a 65% likelihood of keeping its first spot by the end of 2026, while XMR has a 33% chance. Perplexity also ranked Zcash's token as the leading candidate, but noted that Monero will likely remain the go-to for maximal privacy.
