Zcash Price Boosted by Ironwood Upgrade, But Can it Last?
Zcash's Ironwood upgrade has brought a much-needed boost to the token, with its price increasing by 3.2% over the past 24 hours.
The upgrade, which was activated on July 28, fixed a previously disclosed counterfeiting flaw and replaced the older Orchard shielded pool with a more secure version.
In the first 24 hours after the upgrade, approximately 176,000 ZEC worth around $80 million had moved to the new system, indicating strong early adoption and confidence in the network.
The price increase appears to be driven primarily by the token's own network developments rather than broader market momentum. However, analysts are cautious about whether this is enough to sustain the rally.
