Zcash Price Surges as Ironwood Upgrade Boosts Bullish Momentum
The ZEC price has surged after the Zcash Ironwood network upgrade went live, adding momentum to an already bullish technical structure. Grayscale highlighted the milestone, noting that the Ironwood upgrade introduces a formally verified shielded pool along with a turnstile mechanism designed to ensure supply integrity.
Ironwood strengthens privacy and security by reinforcing underlying infrastructure supporting Zcash's ecosystem. The newly launched shielded pool has undergone formal verification, while the turnstile mechanism preserves supply integrity throughout the network.
The upgrade coincided with a roughly 4% increase in ZEC price, suggesting the market welcomed the development. Buyers continue to defend key levels, as recent trading has produced a liquidity candle with a growing lower wick, indicating buyers are stepping in to reject selling pressure.
However, the real challenge lies ahead, and momentum remains constructive. If bullish momentum continues into August, ZEC price faces major resistance near $550 followed by $636. On the downside, $450 remains the key support level, with a break below both levels increasing the probability of a deeper correction toward $300.
