Zcash Price Surpasses $1,000 as Investor Makes Record-Breaking Profit
A recent Zcash (ZEC) price rally has seen the asset surpass $1,000 in value, with some investors reportedly making significant profits. According to a trade details shared by TedPillows, a whale investor bought 22,840 ZEC for $1.1 million between 2022 and 2024, holding through volatility before transferring the position today worth approximately $23 million.
The profit from this single trade is reportedly $22 million, demonstrating the potential rewards of investing in assets that have been undervalued or overlooked by other investors. This ZEC price rally follows a major supply migration, with much of the Orchard pool's supply shifting into the new Ironwood pool after the July 2026 hard fork and secure turnstile migration.
The Ironwood hard fork resolved a critical security bug affecting Zcash's Orchard pool, confirming that the supply remained uncompromised and helping to restore market confidence in the network. The subsequent ZEC price rally has seen the token rise approximately 180% from its $374 support area, with the daily chart now showing ZEC crossing $1,000 during the past 24 hours.
While there are still clear downside levels for ZEC price, including a drop below $880 that could expose the $805 support area or deeper corrections that may bring the 50-day EMA band near $670 into focus, the current trend suggests stronger market confidence in Zcash.
