Zcash Reaches Eight-Year High Ahead of Grayscale ETF Launch
Zcash has reached an eight-year high ahead of Grayscale's planned ZCSH ETF launch on NYSE Arca, sparking speculation that it could challenge XRP's market capitalization.
The price surge pushed Zcash above $814, surpassing its January 2018 peak and increasing its market capitalization to around $13.7 billion.
Grayscale announced plans to convert its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF, which is expected to begin trading on NYSE Arca around August 25, 2026, under the ticker ZCSH.
The proposed fund will provide investors with exposure to ZEC without requiring them to directly hold the cryptocurrency, and Coinbase Custody will serve as the custodian.
The potential ETF launch has created a new institutional demand narrative around Zcash, similar to the broader trend of crypto assets gaining exposure through traditional financial markets.
