Zcash Rockets 30% on Grayscale ETF Filing and Winklevoss-Backed Mining Boost
Zcash has surged nearly 30% in the past day to $788, following strong institutional interest and a major network upgrade. The price increase extends its seven-day advance above 60%, taking ZEC to more than three times the sub-$250 levels reached during the April market selloff.
The Grayscale Zcash Trust is moving toward an NYSE Arca listing under the ticker ZCSH, with a potential contribution of approximately 200,000 ZEC in exchange for trust shares once the registration becomes effective. This nonbinding agreement represents close to 1.2% of Zcash's current circulating supply.
Cypherpunk Technologies has launched 4.2 GSol/s of Zcash mining capacity through a $33.33 million transaction with Winklevoss Capital, which estimates that its new fleet controls roughly 18% of the Zcash network's total hashrate.
