Zcash Soars 16%, Eyes Crucial $1,000 Resistance
Zcash (ZEC) has seen a significant price increase of around 16% on September 3, pushing it closer to the $1,000 mark.
The token's price climbed from the low-$800s to $950, with a recent peak at $952. This level is now considered resistance, and a clean break above it would make the psychological $1,000 target more achievable.
The rally has two important levels beneath it: $850 and $815. The former could provide near-term support if ZEC pulls back, while the latter is a structural base where the price previously consolidated before the latest advance.
Derivatives are playing a larger role in the ZEC rally than spot trading, with futures turnover running more than 11 times above spot volume. Open interest stands at $2.15 billion, indicating significant derivatives positioning.
