Zcash Soars 43% on Grayscale ETF Frenzy
Zcash has surged by over 43% in the past seven days, defying the broader downturn in major crypto assets. The price increase was driven primarily by Grayscale's ZCSH ETF listing on the NYSE Arca, which saw its assets under management surpass $500 million within two weeks of launch.
The fund attracted over $70 million in net new inflows and completed a large-scale physical token subscription worth approximately $100 million from an investment entity. This has led to a significant supply-demand imbalance, with over 3% of the total circulating supply locked up by the ETF custodian account.
Institutional compliance channels have activated traditional buying demand, removing barriers for traditional brokerages and wealth management funds to allocate assets in the privacy sector. Open interest in derivatives has reached an all-time high, and exchange-traded options have been approved for trading, enriching the range of long and short trading tools.
The number of tokens locked in on-chain privacy pools has significantly increased, confirming a resurgence in global capital demand for native financial privacy tools amid growing adoption of AI-driven data regulation and on-chain tracking technologies.
