Zcash Soars to Record $1,225 Peak Amid Growing Institutional Demand
Zcash (ZEC) saw a significant surge in value on Sunday, reaching an all-time high of $1,225. The cryptocurrency's price increase was largely driven by the growing demand for privacy-oriented digital assets and the launch of Grayscale's Zcash ETF on August 25.
The ETF has attracted over $463 million in assets under management since its inception, with institutional investors increasingly showing interest in ZEC. As a result, the token's market capitalization has risen to nearly $20 billion, surpassing established names like Dogecoin and Chainlink.
Market analysts point out that ZEC has seen a remarkable 550% increase from its 2026 floor and an astonishing 4,000% gain from last year's lowest point. The shielded pool now contains 4.85 million ZEC, the highest level observed since June.
