Zcash Soars with First US-Listed Spot ETF Launch
Zcash's market value has reached an eight-year high above $810 after its recent rally. This comes on the heels of Grayscale converting its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF trading under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, making it the first US-listed spot Zcash ETF.
The launch is seen as a major development in the crypto space, with Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart noting that Grayscale was 'getting closer and closer to converting this thing into an ETF.'
Grayscale's Head of Index, Steve Vanourny, tied the launch to growing demand for genuine transaction privacy, driven by AI tools making financial surveillance easier.
The rally has leaned heavily on derivatives traders, with perpetual open interest reaching 2.21 million ZEC and futures volume outpacing spot trading through the run-up.
