Zcash Surges 20% to New All-Time High Amid Strong Institutional Demand
Zcash (ZEC) has surged to an all-time high of $1,225 after a 20% price increase in just 24 hours. This significant gain pushes its market cap close to $20 billion and makes it one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by value.
The rally can be attributed to strong institutional demand for privacy-focused assets, with Grayscale's ZCSH ETF accumulating over $463 million in assets since its launch on August 25. This product offers investors a way to gain exposure to ZEC without directly holding it, making it an attractive option for those seeking a spot ZEC exchange-traded product.
Coin Bureau noted that ZEC has exploded from $40 to over $1,200 in just one year, representing a staggering 2,900% gain. This impressive rally is not limited to price gains; the number of shielded pool holdings also rose to 4.85 million ZEC, its highest level since June.
