Zcash Surges Amidst AI-Driven Financial Privacy Concerns
Grayscale's research report warns that artificial intelligence (AI) could bring about new concerns over financial privacy. According to Zach Pandl, Head of Research at Grayscale, AI tools will create new privacy challenges across the economy, particularly for public blockchains that are transparent by default.
The firm points out that while blockchain address labeling was already a risk before AI, advances in technology could make it more effective and widely available. This increased need for privacy protection has led Grayscale to highlight Zcash as a potential solution.
Unlike Bitcoin, which records every transaction on a public ledger, Zcash offers additional privacy features through shielded transactions that use zero-knowledge cryptography. These features may not be fully reflected in ZEC's current valuation, leaving room for further gains.
