Zcash Surges Past Dogecoin to Become 10th-Largest Crypto Asset
Zcash has surpassed Dogecoin to become the world's 10th-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, according to data shared by analyst Luciano-BTC. This achievement is a testament to ZEC's growing influence among investors who increasingly show confidence in its market.
The rising market cap reflects the asset's growing dominance in the broader crypto market, driven by multiple factors including a price bull run and renewed whale appetite. The ongoing ZEC upturn has enabled it to become the 10th-largest digital asset by market cap after overtaking DOGE.
Zcash has been one of the largest gainers in the digital asset market, with its price breaching the $800 level for the first time in eight years last week. It currently trades at $847.25 and has been up 1.3% and 80.2% over the past week and 30 days.
The institutional interest in Zcash has remained strong following the approval and debut of the Zcash spot ETF, which has opened the door to wider engagement enabling institutional investors to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency through a regulated approach.
