Zcash Wallet Upgrade Cuts Private Payment Times to Under 200 Msec
Zcash wallet upgrade, Zakura Common, has made private payments faster by reducing proof generation time to under 200 milliseconds. This is according to a recent test by Zakura that shows significant improvements in mobile and desktop proof generation speeds.
The new cryptography libraries reduce the process of generating zero-knowledge proofs from over three seconds to below 200 milliseconds, with some tests finishing even faster than this threshold. Mobile proof generation ran more than 14 times faster, while desktop generation improved by more than five times.
This upgrade is a significant development for Zcash as it addresses one of the main bottlenecks in private transactions. However, actual performance will depend on various factors such as device hardware and wallet implementation. The results are also based on Zakura's own testing and may not be replicated by independent wallets or users.
