Zcash (ZEC) Rally Falters as Technical Indicators Signal Correction
Zcash (ZEC) has seen significant gains in recent sessions, surging above $1,200 and producing a 50% increase from its previous peak. However, two technical indicators suggest that a correction may be on the horizon.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is showing a bearish divergence, with the price of ZEC reaching new highs while momentum wanes. This is particularly concerning given the asset's extreme departure from its moving averages, which are currently around $847 and $650 for the 20-day and 50-day averages, respectively.
This indicates that there is a substantial technical gap below the current price, raising the possibility of a decline if profit-taking accelerates. Key areas to watch include the $1,040-$1,080 region, which corresponds to the most recent breakout point, as well as the $950 zone and previous consolidation area around $800-$850.
